New Subsidiaries Notching Qualcomm To Explore Open Source

Recently, Qualcomm has announced that it was forming the latest addition. The existence of a wholly owned additional explicitly explores the open source project.

Qualcomm also said it has attracted engineers from across the company into a new subsidiary, which will be called Qualcomm Innovation Center (QuIC). Qualcomm says that its engineers will focus on initiatives such as Linux and open source WebKit, and the open source operating systems like Symbian, Android and Chrome.

Qualcomm did not say that it has adopted one of the open source product into its portfolio, but will try to develop them with the possibility that they are involved into their product offerings in the future.
